A souvenir store in Madurai (South India) needed a fresh branding. Keeping it traditional yet modern, the logo tugs at the sweet memories of Madurai, by re-inventing and inspired by the famous Golden Lotus in Madurai and kolam along with a simple sans-serif typeface.
For a premium brand that tugs at the sweet memories of our childhood, the brand language is very simple. The packaging used black along with ochre and beige tones to bring uniformity.
The iconic Golden lotus which Madurai is most famous for, is abstracted to an even better icon, and the stylized icon forms the core of the brand. Taken across all packaging and signage, the minimalism keeps up the premium and bespoke aspect of the brand.
